The design of the Stadium of light is very different from other stadiums. It is located near the river bank. This stadium has four stands with two-tier and 03 tier facilities.
- West Stand: This stand has three-tier facilities with a premium class category. In this section VIP seats and executive boxes are available. In this stand blocks available:

Upper Tier Blocks: U18, U19, U20, U21, U22 & U23.

2. Carling Stand or North Stand: This stand is also called the north stand and it has three tiers connected with West Stand. In this section, an access tunnel is also available. Fan away zone is also situated in the upper tier. Carling stand seats denote the ‘Ha’way The Lads’ slogan.

3. East Stand: In this stand has only a two-tier facility and it has a long side-tier facility. These stand seats are printed with the Sunderland emblem.

4. Roker End Stand or South Stand: This section also has the access tunnel, this stand is situated behind the goals and this has short side tiers.

Normally ticket office timing is 10:00 AM to 05 PM. The ticket office remains closed on Sunday. On special occasions, the counter opens on Sunday for a limited time.

The stadium of Light parking facility is limited on the ground level with advanced car parking permits. Every visitor and fan who come by self-vehicle is worried about car parking.
Stadium offers parks and rides on match days, and there are many transport options to reach the stadium like bus, taxi service, train, metro, etc.
Accessible car parking is also available inside the stadium premises on a first come first served basis on match days.
Car parking depends on a seasonal basis & match to match basis subject to availability and permit. There is very little car parking available on street and many of them only have resident parking.
